Terms of Hire
Last updated: [DATE]
These terms set out the basis on which Shire Event Hire ("we", "us", "our") hires equipment to customers. A booking confirmation together with these terms forms the hire agreement.
Note: this is a starting template. Have these terms reviewed and completed before taking bookings.
1. Quotes and bookings
Quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for the period stated on the quote. A booking is confirmed once we have accepted it in writing and any agreed deposit has been paid.
2. Hire period
Equipment is hired for the period agreed in your booking. Equipment remains our property at all times and must not be sub-hired, sold or removed from the agreed event location without our consent.
3. Delivery, setup and collection
We deliver, set up and collect the equipment at the times agreed in your booking. You must ensure suitable access and a safe, appropriate space for the equipment, including any power or water requirements we confirm with you in advance.
4. Care of equipment
You are responsible for the equipment from delivery until collection. Loss of or damage to equipment during the hire period, beyond fair wear and tear, will be chargeable at repair or replacement cost.
5. Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit and the date the balance is due, are set out in your quote and booking confirmation.
6. Cancellations
Our cancellation terms are set out in your booking confirmation. Please tell us as early as possible if your plans change and we will do our best to help.
7. Alcohol licensing
Where a hired bar is used to sell or supply alcohol, you are responsible for ensuring the appropriate licence or authorisation is in place for your event unless we agree otherwise in writing.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. We are not responsible for losses that are not a foreseeable result of our failure to meet these terms.
9. Contact
